With the Ocean Isle Beach Sea Turtle Protection Organization, we'll sit at nests to ensure the baby turtles make it to the ocean at night, attend nest excavations, and do morning beach patrols to help with any injured turtles.

About the event

This year, we'll volunteer with, and support, the Ocean Isle Beach Sea Turtle Protection Organization in Ocean Isle, NC, August 17-21. We'll sit at nests to ensure that the baby turtles make it to the ocean at night, attend nest excavations, and conduct morning beach patrols to help with any injured turtle strandings that occur while we are there. 


Lodging for the group will be at the Quality Inn in nearby Shallotte, NC which is 6 miles from the beach. 


Transportation and meals are not included.
